The 4 Seasons of Giving

Fall and winter are busy times of year at Phoenix Innovate, as we help many of our clients with their year-end fundraising efforts. But, we’re busy for other reasons too. At Thanksgiving our employees donate turkeys and help prepare Thanksgiving meals for organizations serving the homeless.

Every winter, we adopt one or more families from the community and give them the Christmas we think every family should enjoy.

Phoenix Innovate staff personally select gifts for every member of the family and purchase them with money donated by our employees. Our very giving staff agreed to pay a little extra every time they purchase a bottle of water from the vending machine, to raise the funds. It’s a year-round campaign and testament to the saying that “a little change can change a lot.”

The whole team comes together to wrap the gifts and share in the joy of giving. But the giving spirit at Phoenix Innovate doesn’t end there.

In the spring, a group of our own green thumbs cultivate a piece of our property into a vegetable farm, where they grow, harvest and donate more than 100 pounds of fresh produce over the summer to Forgotten Harvest, a charity dedicated to fighting hunger in our community. We’re evening working on ways to extend our “growing season” by developing some of the space inside our building to use in the winter months.

Maybe it comes from working with so many worthwhile causes and so many dedicated clients, but the spirit of giving is so strong at Phoenix Innovate, that this year we launched a new program to encourage and promote volunteerism among our staff. We’ve offered all of our team members the opportunity to take a day off with pay to dedicate toward their favorite charity.

It feels good to give, and especially good to share the joy it brings with our colleagues year round.

Happy Seasons of Giving!
